August bank holidays, more yarn festival news and a materials swap!

Yarn festival updates

Tickets for the Glasgow School of Yarn are now on sale. They do tend to sell out so, if you'd like to come with us, please let me know asap whether you'd prefer to attend on the Saturday (10th October) or the Sunday (11th October). Once we have a preferred day, I'll contact everyone who said they wanted to come about buying tickets and arranging travel.

Tickets are still available for the "Director's Cut" version of the Scottish Yarn Festival but we are not planning to attend this one as a group this year.

We are considering attending East Neuk Knits for the first time but the dates have changed slightly and this will now be held on the 27th and 28th November. Let me know if you'd be interested in attending on the Saturday (the 28th). The event isn't easily accessible by public transport so, if we're going, we'll try to organise car sharing from Stirling. Tickets go on sale on 19th August.

CAN Material swap at the V&A

The Circular Arts Network (CAN) are holding a craft material swap event at the V&A Dundee on 19th September. This isn't specifically fibre-related but they do take yarn, fabric, thread and any other craft supplies or art materials that you have that are looking for a new home.

We'll be meeting in person at the Golden Lion as usual on the August bank holidays on the 3rd and 31st.
