Stirling Knit 'n' Natter - July 2026

Scottish Yarn Festival details (and tickets) are now available!

Scottish Yarn Festival

Details are now available for the "Director's Cut" version of the Scottish Yarn Festival and tickets are on sale for four three-hour sessions across Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September. It looks like a nice mix of some old favourites and new (to me) faces. If you'd like to go, let me know as soon as possible (either by email or at a meetup, including which slot(s) you'd prefer) and we can pick our preferred day and time. Tickets are £11 (including booking fee) and are for three hours, starting at either 10am or 1:30pm.

Other festivals

Tickets for the Glasgow School of Yarn are due to go on sale in "late July" and they do tend to sell out so, if you'd like to come with us, do watch out for details at the start of next month.

We could also go to East Neuk Knits this year. Tickets for that aren't due to go on sale until the autumn so there is a bit more time before we have to make plans. Do let me know if there are any other Scottish events or festivals that we might be interested in attending together.

In-person venue reminder

We're now meeting regularly in Cronies Bar, in the Golden Lion Hotel on King Street. Cronies is in the front door, up the steps and turn left, sign-posted for the bar and restaurant. We don't have a booking so, if you're first there, we're just looking to grab a table or tables to fit 6-8 of us. The two tables immediately to the left as you go in the door (directly opposite the bar) are our preferred spot, if they're free.

Happy crafting,

Susan

Our WhatsApp community

If you would like to join our (completely optional) WhatsApp community, you can do so via this link or by scanning the QR code below. You'll see an "Announcements" channel and a couple of groups within the community. Only I can post to "Announcements" so this will be where you can find important news without any chit-chat.

Other dates for your diary

Events in bold are those that we will definitely be attending as a group and there will be more details in future newsletters. Other events are listed for information but let me know if you'd be interested in attending as a group. Similarly, email me at susan@yellowgingerdesigns.co.uk with details of other crafty events or exhibitions in central Scotland and I'll add them to the list.

Our July meetups
