Bank holidays and time to Love your Yarn Shop!

First, thank you for bearing with me through months of longer than usual newsletters with ramblings on our move off Meetup! Our move is now complete and the Meetup group has been closed. See below for reminders on where you can find us now.

Love Your Yarn Shop

The UK Handknitting Association is running a "Love Your Yarn Shop" event from 29 March to 31 May, with various prizes and events at participating shops. For those of us in the Stirling area, the nearest participating shops are the Crafty Wee Pie in Tillicoultry and Stitches in Grangemouth. Other favourites of mine that are participating include the Yarn Cake in Glasgow and the Woolly Brew in Pittenweem. Check out the map for participating shops near you.

Bank holidays: we're meeting as usual on the May bank holidays: 5 May (online) and 26 May (in person).

Friars Wynd news: There is currently work taking place in the Dalgleish Court car park behind the hotel, meaning that there are fewer spaces available. On-street parking is usually available on some sections of Baker Street and Spittal Street and is free from 5:30 pm. I'm also still expecting that, at some point, the back door to the hotel from the car park will be locked all day (instead of just at night). When (or if!) that happens I'll share the code once I have it.
